Running a new cable to a mirror is awkward in any bathroom. In a caravan, lodge or park home it can be harder still, with thin walls, tight voids and a 12V or mixed electrical system. A battery operated LED mirror avoids the wiring altogether.
Why use a battery mirror in a caravan, lodge or park home?
- No wiring to run. The power is in the mirror, so there is no need to open up walls or add to the electrical system.

How long does the battery last?
A Lustro mirror lasts up to 3 months on a single charge at 1 hour of use a day. A full charge takes 4 to 6 hours by USB-C, so it can be topped up from a USB-C charger when you are on hook-up or back home. It costs around 7p per charge, compared with up to £5 for a packet of AA batteries.

What about touring caravans and motorhomes?
Fix the bracket securely to a solid part of the wall and follow the installation guide supplied. In a vehicle that moves, check the mirror is secure for travel, or lift it off the bracket and stow it safely before setting off.
